Red Ribbon Week History

image

Why we wear unsuitable clothes to school on a week called Red Ribbon Week is because of a guy named, Enrique Cararema, (A.K.A) Kiki. He grew up in a town called Mexicali in Baja, California, but when he was nine he moved to Calexico, California. That’s where he graduated from high school, and got his first job as a Marine Corps. Then he started to work as a firefighter and decided to attend college after his service in the Marines. Then soon after he joined the DEA group, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. In 1981, he was assigned the DEA ‘s office in Guadalajara, Mexico. Cararema’s work became famous for working undercover and trying to stop drug trafficking groups, and I thank him for trying to save lives.

Moving ship to get from one place to another

mobile travel device to move the Plymouth Colony

Yearning to Massachusetts but went to Virginia

For some people it was a ship and a home

Longing for a new home

On a journey to find a new land for a new home

Was a ship that transported the Pilgrims

Extremely hard to sail through the wind

Real ship

My Poster For The Jamestown And Plymouth Colony Choice

image

I choose Plymouth as my colony because I thought it sounded like a healthy place to live… just kidding! The reason I choose Plymouth is because after I read a few books and saw a few websites, I saw that the Native Americans were very helpful to the Pilgrims (Plymouth Colony Group). So after hearing there are helpful people close by, that is sure is a place I would want to be in. When in the processes of helpfulness, the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to plant food! I don’t know about you, but I would want some food! They also had fresh water a good soil, which is a place I would want to be in! Also, you and I would fit right in with the first settlers group because they allowed men, women, and some children to be aboard the ship with being apart of the colony. So the Plymouth Colony is sure a place I want to be in!

9/11 Reflections

I was a little saddened when I heard that we were going to be learning about 9/11,  because on that very Tuesday, changed America forever. On Tuesday 11, 2001 started like a regular Tuesday in all America, so all of the kids, the parents, the Uncles, the Aunts, also even the cousins. Mostly your whole family was getting ready for work or school. But when you turned on that TV fixed the bunny ears every thing changed on the time of 8:47-8:48 in New York . A plane crashed into the World Trade Center. People thought it was an accident but when the second plane hit America knew it WAS NOT an ACCIDENT planes also hit the Pentagon and was going to the White House, but NO! We had brave AMERICANS that went and fought but the plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania! 9/11 was a SAD DAY! I wan’t there, but I know that Day was special. Say thank you to our live SUPER HERO’S!!!! Our Police, Firefighters, and Army, Air-Force, and Military Crew! Thank Them for BRAVENESS and SUPPORT! THANK YOU SUPER HERO’S! YOU’RE MY HERO!!

Life In 5th Grade

So far life in 5th grade has been delightful. We get to be more  responsible and have more freedom. We have had a few testes so far and the testes have been a little hard but not by much though. Also we are doing a passion project for Mrs. Boo’s class, I’m doing elephants. Also this Wednesday we are having a Common Assessment I’m a little nervous, but it is just about what we have gone over in 5th grade. So so far we learned about 2 digit x 2 digit and 3 digit x 2 digit. So this why I love 5th Grade!
